Beginning Thursday, August 27, Central Avenue will be closed between Third Street and Pete Rose Way for demolition of the Second Street ramp. The road will be open to traffic by noon Friday, September 4. Southbound traffic will be detoured on W. Third Street to the Clay Wade Bailey bridge approach, to Second Street and Elm Street. Northbound traffic will be detoured via W. Mehring Way and Elm Street to W. Third Street.

As part of the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project, the ramp from I-71 North to Second Street will be closed for demolition and reconstruction. The closure will go into effect July 16, 2026, and will remain in effect through late fall of 2028. Motorists will be detoured by way of I-75 North to the Fifth Street exit (Exit 1C) and Race Street to Second Street.

Road Work - Planned on U.S. 50-Columbia Connector Shared Use Path

Construction of a shared use path between Pocahontas Avenue and the existing Little Miami Scenic Trail, east of Walton Creek Road. During the first phase of construction, traffic on U.S. 50 will be maintained in one, 11-foot lane in the westbound direction between Warrior Way and Spring Hill Drive. Additional restrictions will be in place on Wooster Pike, as well as on Miami Run, Mariemont Way and Warrior Way; however, traffic will be maintained throughout construction.
