Road Work - Planned on U.S. 50 eastbound ramp to Second Street

On or after Sunday, June 28, the ramp from eastbound U.S. 50/W. 6th Street Viaduct to Second Street will be closed for demolition. Motorists will be detoured by way of Freeman Avenue, Mehring Way, and Elm Street to Second Street. This is a permanent closure. Detour: From 2026-06-28 to 2030-11-28, between 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM, From US 50 East/W. Sixth Street Viaduct, follow Freeman Avenue south to Mehring Way. Follow Mehring Way east to Elm Street, turning left (north) onto Elm, and follow this to Second Street.
