Road Work - Planned on I-71 northbound ramp to Second Street

As part of the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project, the ramp from I-71 North to Second Street will be closed for demolition and reconstruction. The closure will go into effect July 16, 2026, and will remain in effect through late fall of 2028. Motorists will be detoured by way of I-75 North to the Fifth Street exit (Exit 1C) and Race Street to Second Street. Detour: From 2026-07-16 to 2028-12-16, between 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM, Follow I-75 North to the Fifth Street exit (Exit 1C) and continue onto Fifth Street. Follow Fifth Street to Race Street, turning right and continuing on to Second Street.
