KS 177 in both directions: Road closed.
Between US 50 (near Strong City) and US 56 (Council Grove). The road is closed due to long term road construction work. Please follow the Kansas DOT-recommended detour around the closure. See map for detour(s) . Until September 8, 2026 at about 5:00PM CDT. Comment: The first 4 miles of K-177 to the south of Council Grove will be reconstructed in the spring and summer of 2026. To accommodate the reconstruction, K-177 will be closed between US-50 and Council Grove from March 2, 2026 to September 8, 2026. The northbound detour will be west on US-50 to K-150, west on K-150 to US-56/US-77, north on US-56/US-77 to Herington, and east on US-56 to Council Grove. The southbound detour will be the reverse. Expect 45 minutes of adverse travel.
