To extend the life of 700 East (State Route 71), the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will resurface the asphalt, replace existing raised medians, and upgrade non-compliant ADA pedestrian ramps along 700 East (SR-71) between 11500 South and 12300 South and approximately 600 feet west of 700 East on 12300 South in Draper. Construction is planned to begin August 10 and complete by the end of October, 2026.. This work will help keep the road smooth, last longer, and make your daily drive more comfortable.

Beginning Monday, August 17 through approximately August 27: Crews will be lowering utilities in the shoulders and all lanes in preparation for paving. This process will move from 1700 South to 400 South in the shoulder, then continue south in the shoulder before moving to the inside travel lanes. This process, called "race-tracking," will then proceed in the same circular pattern through all lanes.
