US 89

Project Background: UDOT is conducting a project to renew US-89 from Eagleridge Drive in North Salt Lake to I-15 in Bountiful. The project entails removing and replacing the top layer of asphalt, along with installing new sidewalk pedestrian ramps to meet current ADA standards, new curb and gutter, and updated road signs. This work will extend the life of the existing pavement, and provide a better driving experience along this corridor for the public. Traffic Impacts: Drivers can expect lane closures, temporary side street closures, no loads wider than 11 feet, and delays up to 15 minutes nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday nights to Friday mornings. Weekend night work may take place on occasion if needed, including Friday night, August 28, into Saturday morning, August 29. During daytime work hours, Monday through Friday, drivers can expect intermittent right turn lane closures as well as intermittent lane closures during off-peak travel hours.
