US 40

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is repaving a 1-mile section of U.S. Highway 40 near the Wasatch and Duchesne County line as well as a 7-mile section between Fruitland and SR-208. Starting 8/17 for approximately 3 weeks: Crews will be conducting roadway reconstruction near Red Creek (MP 65). While reconstruction activities are occurring, US-40 will be narrowed to a single 12-foot travel lane during daytime and nighttime hours as well as on weekends, directed by flaggers or temporary signals. Expect delays. Expect a reduced speed limit of 55 mph through the work area. Work is anticipated to be completed by late November 2026.
