Pioneer Crossing

TRAFFIC ALERT: Pioneer Crossing scheduled to close Th. 9/3 at 11 p.m. to Fri. 9/4 at 4 a.m. between 1100 West & 1700 West for traffic signal pole installation. -- WB shoulder closed between Redwood Road and Medical Drive; business access at 200 W. Pioneer Crossing temporarily closed. Lanes shifted to center between Mill Pond Road and I-15. -- Sidewalks closed between Center Street and 2300 West. Follow posted detour signs. --- As a reminder, the speed limit on Pioneer has been reduced to 40 mph. ------ Watch for construction barrels, lane shifts, and new traffic patterns as crews work in the median and shoulders. During the day, two lanes are open in each direction. At night, expect regular night work and lane closures throughout the work zone. ------ PROJECT OVERVIEW: UDOT is improving Pioneer Crossing to help reduce congestion between I-15 and just west of SR-73 by building Flex Lanes, extending travel lanes on each end, and making intersection modifications.
