Pioneer Crossing

TRAFFIC ALERT: Permanent Flex Lane striping to be applied to Pioneer Crossing starting 10/4. Drivers can still use all three lanes in their direction of travel. -- Signals to be replaced at Market Street intersection from 10:30 p.m. TUE to 5 a.m. WED. Law enforcement to guide traffic through intersection while lights are turned off. -- WB shoulder closed between Redwood Road and Medical Drive. -- Sidewalks closed between Center Street and 2300 West. Follow posted detour signs. --- As a reminder, the speed limit on Pioneer has been reduced to 40 mph. ------ Watch for construction barrels, lane shifts, and new traffic patterns as crews work in the median and shoulders. During the day, two lanes are open in each direction. At night, expect regular night work and lane closures throughout the work zone. ------ PROJECT OVERVIEW: UDOT is improving Pioneer Crossing to help reduce congestion between I-15 and just west of SR-73 by building Flex Lanes, extending travel lanes on each end, and making intersection modifications.
