US 281 northbound: Construction work.

Between West 3rd Street and MM 8 (near Red Cloud). Look out for construction work. A lane is closed intermittently. Until November 25, 2026 at about 6:00PM CDT. Comment: Work on US-281 and US-136 will include removing and replacing the existing pavement, brick pavers, curb and gutter, storm sewer, sidewalks, lighting, and watermain improvements. Northbound traffic on US-281 will remain open with a 10-foot width restriction. Southbound traffic will be detoured to N-10 and N-78. US-136 traffic will be detoured to N-4.
