I-65 southbound (Mile Point 237.77 - 241): Night time construction work.
I-65 southbound: Between 153rd Ave and 205th Ave.
Between 153rd Ave (4 miles south of the Crown Point area) and 205th Ave (6 miles north of the Roselawn area). Night time construction work is in progress. The road is being repaved. People are working in the median. There is a width limit in effect . Speed restrictions are in force. Speed limit 55 mph . Width limit 14'0" . Left lane closed in the southbound direction of travel. Comment: Construction work on I-65 south of SR 2 in both northbound and southbound directions will be ongoing from August 2nd through mid-October to patch and resurface asphalt pavement. This work consists of 4 phases anticipated to take two weeks each to complete. During the first phase, the inside lane and shoulder of southbound I-65 will be closed at night from approximately 8 PM to 6 AM, reducing the maximum width to 14 feet. Southbound I-65 will be patched and resurfaced from Mile Marker 237.8 to Mile Marker 240, and pavement markings and RPM’s will be replaced up to the Lowell Weigh Station at Mile Marker 241. Drainage improvement work will also be conducted along the shoulders and median during the daytime hours. Shoulders will be closed, but a minimum of 2 travel lanes will remain open in both directions. A temporary speed reduction to 55 mph will be in effect for the duration of this project. Please use caution when approaching this location. Expect delays, and stay alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting the work site.
