Between US 75 and US 40 (Topeka). The road is closed . Look out for construction work. Please follow the Kansas DOT-recommended detour around the closure. See map for detour(s) . Until December 24, 2026 at about 11:59PM CDT. Comment: I-70 in both directions, between Topeka Blvd. and 8th Ave. is closed. Starting June 8 until late December. Through traffic is encouraged to use detour on I-470.
